Ongoing advisory with Marty Kaan

Build your U.S. business.

I work with European B2B SaaS founders and revenue leaders on entering and growing in the U.S.

Where I can help

Who to sell to. How to sell. When to hire.

The priorities change as you enter the market, win customers, grow the team, or work out why sales have stalled.

Customers and positioning

Choose the U.S. buyers to pursue, understand their alternatives, and explain why they should choose your product.

Pricing and packaging

Review how buyers value your offer and approve a purchase. Decide what to charge and what to include.

Sales and pipeline

Look at discovery calls, active deals, and lost opportunities to understand where sales get stuck and what the team needs to change.

Hiring and sales leadership

Decide when to hire, what the role requires, and how the U.S. team and European headquarters will work together.

How we work together

We agree the scope, how often we meet, and the support between sessions before starting.

Review what is happening

We look at buyer conversations, sales numbers, proposals, or hiring plans. I ask what you have tried and where you are unsure.

Decide what to do next

I challenge assumptions and help you weigh the options. We agree what to change or test, who will do it, and how to judge whether it worked.

Follow up on the work

Your team does the work. At the next session, we review what happened and adjust the plan.

Why work with me

I have run U.S. operations for European companies.

I’m Marty Kaan. I moved from Germany to New York in 2009. Since then, I have built sales teams and opened, repaired, and closed U.S. operations for European businesses.

That experience includes decisions I got wrong. It informs the advice I give about hiring, spending, and what to expect from a U.S. expansion.

Choosing a format

How is Advisory different from a bootcamp?

A bootcamp follows a defined program for a particular stage of expansion. Advisory is ongoing, with priorities that change as your business develops.
